Yuva Morcha flays Kodiyeri

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Yuva Morcha state president K Surendran alleged that the Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan and his sons have turned the Home Department into a ``band of dacoits’’.

The Home Department is trying to torpedo the investigation into the Paul George murder case. ``The role of City Police Commissioner while bringing gangsters Omprakash and Rajesh from Tirunelveli remains mysterious. Though the Commissioner has no responsibility in connection with the Paul George murder case, he had accompanied the gangsters in the same vehicle,’’ Surendran said, while speaking to mediapersons here on Friday.

Surendran alleged that the commissioner was entrusted with the `duty’ of telling them the story framed by the police. ``The delayed recording of statement from Manu strengthens this doubt,’’ he said. The police have totally failed to investigate the allegation that the S-shaped knife was made on the orders of police, he said.

``Kodiyeri Balakrishnan had said in the Assembly that the ADGP would investigate the allegation. Even after considerable time, the police is yet to initiate any action,’’ hesaid. The State Government had lost lakhs of rupees by giving fancy number to the Home Minister’s son at a meagre price, he said.
