LDF Govt in Kerala failed to deliver goods:Rahul

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 5 (PTI) Mounting a scathing attack on the LDF government in Kerala, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today accused it of failing to deliver the goods and of being bogged down by alleged corruption "in higher level" and infighting.
Launching the Congress campaign, he claimed the UPA government successfully carried out plans for an inclusive growth and had done everything to help Kerala and alleged the LDF government had not been able to match the Centre's efforts.

Addressing a rally at Shanghumugham beach here, he alluded to factional feuds in CPI-M and said corruption in higher levels, an apparent reference to CPI(M) leader Pinarayi Vijayan's alleged involvement in SNC Lavalin case, and infighting in the ruling front had come in the way of implementing welfare programmes despite Rs 40,000 crore support from the Centre.

A vital achievement of UPA government had been that it could show that growth could be achieved in all sectors without slackening pro-poor policies, he said.

"Though we are not in power in Kerala, we have done everything to support the state. We provided an agriculture package for Kuttanad, a transhipment terminal in Kochi, Naval Academy, rail coach factory, defence projects and tsunami relief", he said. PTI
