Priyanka Vadra, right, waves to the crowd as she campaigns for her brother and Congress party leader Rahul Gandhi in Amethi, in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, Saturday.
Raipur: Attacking the Congress over party leader Priyanka Gandhi's reaction to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's recent statement that ''the Congress is a 125-year-old party and can't work for development of the country,'' the BJP Sunday claimed that her remarks had amply proved that the Congress was a dynastic party.
''Mr Modi's remarks were about the Congress party, not against any individual. But Ms Gandhi took it on her,'' BJP spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad told a press conference here.
On Priyanka's question that ''Does Sonia, Rahul and I look old,'' Mr Prasad said, it had proved that the Congress only meant ''Mata, Putra aur Putri (Mother, Son and Daughter).'' It had also supported BJP's claim that Congress was a dynastic party, he said.
Replying to a question, he said, even as his party's Prime Ministerial candidate L K Advani was 80-year-old, he had the stamina and energy of a 40-year-old youth, and was capable of undertaking whirlwind tour of the country to address at least four public meetings daily.
