KOZHIKODE: Thadiyantavide Nazeer and Shafaz, who are in the custody of the Karnataka police, were brought to Kannur from Bangalore as part of the investigation process. They are now lodged at an undisclosed place in Kannur with tight police security.
The two terrorists were brought from Bangalore by road, hoodwinking the mediapersons who flocked the Karipur airport following information that they were being brought to Kerala by air. Nazeer and Shafaz, accompanied by Karnataka police personnel, we re brought via Bavali check post in a convoy of four vehicles.
It is learnt that Nazeer will be taken to places like Kannur city where the conspiracy behind the Bangalore blasts was hatched and Chakkarakkal where the explosive substances were buried. The police recovered ammonium nitrate from the area following Nazeer's disclosure.
