Lavlin: Pinarayi likely to appear before CBI court

Kochi: CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan will appear before the CBI court on Wednesday. Pinarayi Vijayanis the ninthaccusedin the SNCLavalin case. The special CBI court will hear the case at 11 in the morning. The court had directed those who had not appeared before the court during the last hearing to appear before it tomorrow.

It is learnt that the second accused in the Lavlin case K G Rajashekaran, residing in New Delhi, will alsoappear before the court tomorrow.

Former principal secretary of the Electricity Board and the first accused K Mohanachandran, third accused and former chairman of the Electricity Board R SIvadasan, fourth accused and former chief engineer Kasturiranga Iyer, fifth accused and former chairman of the Board Sidhartha Menon, had all appeared before the special court on September 24 and sought bail. It was the Lavlin company officials and Pinarayi Vijayan who had refused to appear.
