Madani's arrest :Kodiyeri says Karnataka not informed govt

Thiruvananthapuram: Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said an appropriate decision regarding the arrest would be taken considering the security arrangements in the state.

Talking to reporters at Thiruvananthapuram airport on his arrival after attending the extended meeting of the CPI(M) central committee at Vijayawada, he said it was for the Bangalore Police to decide the time and manner of the arrest.

Kerala Police would provide necessary support for the arrest, Balakrishnan said.'Kerala Police is ready to face any situation arising out of the arrest of Madani'. Karnataka Police should take steps considering the situation in Kerala, he said.

Karnataka government has not officially communicated to Kerala on the matter so far, he said PTI

Meanwhile, in an interview to a Malayalam channel, Karnataka home minster V S Acharya said that the home ministry would not interfere unnecessarily in the case. He said his department does not have any problem with the Kerala home ministry and its minister
