Thiruvananthapuram: The Thiruvananthapuram judicial magistrate court directed the police to book a case against IUML leader P K Kunhalikutty. The court issued the order while considering the public interest litigation filed by Pradeep Lal from Vallakkadavu. Earlier Rejina, victim in the ice cream parlour case, gave a statement to the police that Kunhalikutty molested her at a hotel in Pazhavangadi, Thiruvanathapuram.
The Court also said in its order that as the case comes under the purview of Thiruvananthapuram Fort Police station, the fort police should conduct the probe. The order was issued by the first class judicial magistrate P Basheer. This would be the first molestation case in which Kunhalikutty is named an accused. The court has also asked to include two others in the accused list.
