Kotayam: The Kerala Congress Joseph group has split and the rebel faction, headed by PC Thomas, will continue in the LDF. The decision was taken in the meeting of the rebel faction here on Friday. The meet also ousted P J Joseph from the chairman post of the party for anti-party activities.
The meet also accepted the resolution appointing P C Thomas as the new chairman of the party. The resolution stated that the party can't accept the move to head into the Mani group as it feels that it is aiming the next elections. Also, P J Joseph had cheated the party.
Apart form PC Thomas, V Surendran Pillai MLA, Scaria Thomas and George Sebastian attended the meeting. Surendran Pillai reiterated that there is no circumstance to think about a change in the front. P C Thomas alleged that for the sake of only four seats Joseph is trying to add the party to another front and the symbol and name of the party will not be given.
