HC sets aside suspension of IAS officer

Kochi, Nov 26 (PTI) The Kerala High court today set aside the state government's suspension order against a senior IAS official who had made critical remarks about the functioning of the Chief Minister's office to the media.

A division bench of Justice Kurien Joseph and Justice C T Ravi Kumar said the suspension order against Suresh Kumar will have no impact on his service and he is entitled to all service benefits during the period.

The bench clarified that the petitioner was entitled to continuity of service for all purposes with effect from the date of suspension to the date of reinstatement.

Kumar was suspended on February 11 last year when he was holding the post of Managing Director of Kerala state Cooperative Agricultural and Rural Development board.
