New Delhi, : Alphons Kannanthanam, former high-profile bureaucrat and member of the outgoing Assembly, who has turned down an LDF offer to contest from the Poonjar constituency, has joined the BJP. This was informed by BJP National President Nitin Gadkari.
Kannanthanam has been included in the national executive committee. Gadkari had earlier invited Kannanthanam to work for the party. He had telephoned Kannanthanam to say that he was impressed by the latter’s views on rural development and wanted him to work for the BJP.
