Mohanlal and Joshi's 'Run Baby Run' is a gripping thriller

There is always a consistency in Joshiey and he has expertise in creating a big hit, whenever he is with fine scripts. Having been able to safeguard his popularity as a hit maker, Joshiey has come up on this Onam with the film 'Run Baby Run' starring Mohanlal. Yet another example of well crafted gripping thriller, that is sure to go well with festival audiences. 'Run Baby Run' is certain to end up as a hit, if marketed well. The movie has the precise doses of actions, thrills, lighter moments and finer sequences which are also laced with a fine performance of the cast. The movie, with the media industry as its backdrop, tells the unending race between the television channels, for gaining better rating points and creating their exclusive scoop. And so, it seldom moves out of the media men in action and their political opponents. Mohanlal appears as a high profile cameraman, Venu, who is regular on the panels of international giants like Reuters. He is currently back to his homeland, after some skirmishes with his dear ones, which made him leave the state almost a five years ago. Then it was his fiancee Renuka (Amala Paul), a budding journalist, who embittered Venu for a costly sting story. That story also languishes the political aspirations of Bharathan Pillai (Sai Kumar) and industrialist Rajan Kartha (Siddique). And when Venu come back to Kochi, they are also back with a vengeance. At Kochi, Venu teams up again with Renuka, whom he hates the most. And as they are into another sting activity to expose a real time assassination of a politician, they unknowingly lands up into a heap of troubles, which rip-off their credibility as journalist and how they manage to clear the confusion, forms the rest of a story. The highlight of the movie is the even pace with which the thriller has been executed by Joshiey with the aid of his editor Shyam Sasidaran. The first independent script by Sachi, is good and never leaves a space for the viewers to think about the pitfalls and illogical developments, which helps the movie to trek to the climax with not much difficulty. Though the love angle and the song appear as a sore thumb due to the little chemistry between its lead stars, who have the age differences of more than a generation. The simple and direct narratives laced with action, suspense, and twists makes it a fiery roller coaster ride. In the acting side Mohanlal excels once again, playing with ease the role of a TV cameraman. The role doesn't offer anything new to experiment, for one the most versatile actors, while Amala Paul just manages to play to the demands of the role of a junior, who can go to any length for her credit lines. The rest of the cast is ok, while Biju Menon gets the maximum claps for another soft role. Joshiey is also supported by excellent camerawork, R D Rajasekhar, who has done fine work for his art department. The only noticeable song in the movie, Attumanal, sung by Mohanlal is also well pictured. On the flip side, the regular cliched villainy from Sai Kumar and Siddique, offer little to increase the unpredictability. Also the illogical points in the narratives are plenty and usual with this sort of adrenaline pumping thriller. Regular news casters masquerading as others to deceit the officials and police, adds to the foolishness of the investigators, who doesn't look for the call list of the persons they are after, appears pretty stupid. The pace slackens a little in the second half, but Joshiey manges pull off the plot to the climax without much complexity. But for the lovers of relatively well made thrillers, 'Run baby Run' is definitely your movie and you may love to see it, more than once. Forget the little glitches and watch the wonderful performance of Mohanlal. Review Credits:Ibnlive

Mammootty, Mohanlal to settle IT dues

Malayalam cinema's superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal, whose homes and offices in Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Chennai and Bengaluru were raided by the Income Tax (IT) department on July 22, have admitted to having assets beyond their known sources of income.

Both the actors have now agreed to settle their dues. They have also added that they will carry out their audits properly in the future and keep a close eye on monitoring their revenues.

Earlier, some reports said the IT department had acted on a confidential tip from certain agencies on the business modules worked out by the superstars in the Middle East for satellite rights. However, the authorities did not have enough evidence to substantiate that claim at the time.

While actor Mohanlal's residence in Mudavanmugal, Thiruvananthapuram and in Thevara, Kochi, was raided, Mammootty's house in Panampally Nagar, Kochi, was raided by the IT department.

Mammootty's production company Play House and Mohanlal's Studio Max Labs too, were raided alongwith the homes of their close aides.

The actors had been boasting of properties in and out the country, and this was also a factor that prompted the authorities to look into their monetary affairs closely.

Actor Mohanlal has been claiming to have flats in the Burj Khaleefa, Dubai, while Mammootty is said to have announced his multiple investments in various properties including a hospital in Bangaluru besides real estate investments inside and outside Kerala.

Earlier, Income Tax officials had questioned Mammootty in Kochi for nearly seven hours on July 22nd. The officials had also recorded Mohanlal's statement in Rameshwaram, where he was shooting for a film at the time.

The I-T Department had said then that the actors may be summoned for further questioning ahead. The two superstars, who have dominated the Malayalam film industry for over three decades, have several business interests.

In a career spanning more than three decades, Mammootty has won the National Award thrice, for Dr. Ambedkar (1988), Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha, Mathilukal (1989) and Vidheyan, Ponthan Mada (1993). He has acted in more than 360 films, including a few Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films.

While Mohanlal was reportedly planning to bid for an IPL team with director Priyadarshan and owns some hotels in Bangaluru, he had recently reportedly purchased a plush house in the world's tallest tower, Burj Khalifa, in Dubai.

He was awarded the Padma Shri for his contribution to Indian cinema in 2001. He has won four National Film Awards and his notable roles include those in Vaanaprastham and Bharatham.

IT raids: more film stars under observation

Income tax raids on Mammooty, Mohanlal

Kochi: After Mammootty and Mohanlal, more film actors and their business partners are under observation for income tax evasion, reports say.

The IT department has pointed out that it picked out the superstars themselves to carry out the first raids to send a clear message to the others in the industry.

One of the reasons for the raids in the discrepancy in the returns submitted by the stars and the producers. The department also observed the spread of the business empires of the duo as well the increase of their properties including land.

The IT officials have said that the two stars were under observation for three months. The department also thinks that with the star-raids the filmdom has become more alert on filing tax returns.

Bhagavan Baba's Maha Samadhi

Wed, April 27, 2011:

Puttaparthi that sung lullabies to infant Sathya, that fondled and nurtured Little Sathya to Sri Sathya Sai and that received the abundance of His love and care over and over again during the past eight and a half decade finally earned a day to grieve, though the day will be marked in the annals of Divine History as the most significant of the day, when Avatar of the age was laid to rest. ...This is definitely not of her choice, but as fate would have it, a grieving Puttaparthi had to accept this present as well, as she has been receiving over the past eight and a half decade, in abundance.

It was a Divine Script that was written by Him alone and executed in His own inimitable fashion. For all the glory, happiness and bliss that she has received over and over again, when the final moment arrived, to bid farewell to the Soul of entire creation, she grieved and so were millions upon millions around the world.

Bhagawan who left His mortal coil on the 24th April 2011 was laid to rest in Sai Kulwant Hall this morning in presence of a huge assemblage of devotees, also attended by a host of political luminaries.

Earlier, the function commenced with an aalaap bhajan by noted classical vocalist Pt. Jasraj, that was followed by an hour-long bhajan by students. A host of prayers representing various religions, that included Jewish, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism and Sikhism followed before a set of selected bhajans, that were so dear to Beloved Bhagawan, was rendered by students bringing tears in the assemblage, taking one and all to nostalgic happy days with their Beloved "Swami".

Among the dignitaries present were both Governor and Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, EVL Narasimhan and Kiran Kumar Reddy, Senior BJP leaders L K Advani and Venkaiah Naidu, former Union Home Minister and Governor of Punjab Shivraj Patil , Karnataka Chief Minister B S. Yeddyurappa, Telugu Desam Supremo and former AP Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu, former Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan, veteran VHP leader Ashok Singhal, AP Ministers Geeta Reddy, Raghuveera Reddy etc.

The Divine Physical Frame that was draped in Bhagawan's favourite orange colour was lowered into the Samadhi amidst vedic chanting. In a symbolic gesture, the ceremony was marked with gifting of a cow and clothes (godhaana and buudhaana). Special water collected various holy rivers across India was also sprinkled on the Divine Frame sanctifying the occasion.

Even as the first set of rituals were completed the curtain came down for the finishing touches of the tomb where Bhagawan was laid to rest. Incessant Sai Gayathri chanting continued for the next more than half-an-hour before the curtains went up for the public to have their maiden view of the Tomb of the Avatar of the Age...

As fragrant Vibhuti smell wafted in the air granting the nostalgia of golden days when Beloved spent time amidst on the same dais, and announcement came that darshan would commence at 11:45 hrs. As is the case in Shirdi, this Tomb of the Avatar of the Age would start speaking to His chosen devotees now on...and would be the solace for grieving devotees from around the world. Puttaparthi beckons, with much more intensity as our Beloved Lord Sri Sathya Sai would speak from His tomb from now on!!!

On this first evening of Maha Samadhi of Beloved Bhagawan, there was a change in programme scheudule. One hour Vedam chanting began at 1600 hrs. followed by bhajans at 1700 hrs. to end with Mangala Arathi at 1800 hrs.

As darshan of Maha Samadhi commenced this forenoon at 1145 hrs. a continuous stream of devotees are pouring in to have a precious glimpse of the Maha Samadhi in Sai Kulwant Hall. Many faces are writ with deep emotion and suppressed feeling burst open at the site of Maha Samadhi.

At the end of Mangala Arathi, an announcement was made on the darshan schedule for the next two days. Darshan of Maha Samadhi, for tomorrow and the day after will commence at 0800 hrs. till 1200 hrs. and in the evening from 1600 hrs. till 2000 hrs.

Raid at Popular Front offices: Bombs, weapons seized

Kerala Police Tuesday launched raids at the offices of Popular Front, a radical Muslim organisation, whose members are allegedly behind the attack on a teacher whose palm was chopped off and were also stockpiling crude arms and explosives.

Raids have now been conducted at the state committee office of Popular Front in Kozhikode besides offices at other districts like Kasargode and Wayanad. A large number of documents were seized from the group's office in Kozhikode and police are examining them.

The police action comes days after the opposition pulled up the ruling Left Front government for not taking stern action against subversive activities in the state.

The Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) Monday asked the government to call an all-party meeting to discuss the recent terror-related incidents that have shaken the state.

In the last 10 days, a cache of explosives and crude arms were from the compound of a building owned by a mosque in Kannur Monday, the local Nilambur-Shornur train was sabotaged, some explosives were found on the Vanchinad Express, and the professor, who faces charges for including a blasphemous question in a question paper, was attacked.

Police had arrested five alleged Popular Front activists for the attack on the professor and another two dozen are in custody over the seizure at Kannur.

In a related development, a division bench of the Kerala High Court Tuesday asked the central and state governments to respond on a petition filed by a Kochi resident asking for a ban on the Popular Front.

Amitabh Bachchan and Mohanlal in Malayalam Film

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan is off to Ooty to shoot for his Malayalam project and says he gave his nod for the film only because of his admiration for southern superstar Mohanlal.

'My admiration for Mohanlal could never have made me refuse this offer and so I do it for him,' Amitabh posted on his blog www.bigb.bigadda.com.

'Mohanlal has been and still is one of the most incredible talents from Kerala and the Malayalam film industry. I have admired him and his work through many years of my existence in this profession. He has a unique body and face language. You get the feeling that he is doing nothing, yet it results in the most amazing results -- natural, without effort and effective. Just such a joy to watch him,' he wrote.

The offer for the yet-to-be-titled project came to Amitabh when he went to Kerala to attend the celebration of sound technician Resul Pookutty's Oscar victory last year.

'It was there that Mohanlal, a guest at the occasion, had come up to my room with his director Major Ravi to put up this idea and this proposal. A few weeks later, they all came to meet up with me in Mumbai to set up all the details for the shoot,' he posted.

The 67-year-old is working for free in the movie.

'(They) put up the inevitable question that most producers do of remuneration! I had laughed at them. What? Charge you for working for three days in a Mohanlal film? An actor I admire? You must be joking! No way, no fees, no nothing. Just tell me when I have to report and where. That is all.'

There won't be any language barrier for Amitabh as he is playing a north Indian character.

'The film will be in Malayalam, but my character is north Indian so I shall be speaking in Hindi, with the odd sentence in Malayalam. Now that shall be tough, but effort shall be made, let's see what happens,' he wrote.

Govt says entire IPL structure to be probed

New Delhi: After securing the resignation of Union Minister Shashi Tharoor, Government has said entire IPL will be under scrutiny including its funding and vowed not to spare any ’wrong-doer’, as its top boss Lalit Modi came under the scanner of Income Tax authorities.

As the controversy-ridden Indian Premier League faced intense attack from the opposition and even a Union minister Vayalar Ravi over alleged murky finances, Income tax authorities asked the Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) to respond by April 23 to 10 queries, including the one on income from IPL and its entire structure.

The Enforcement Directorate said it will also investigate the alleged murky international deals of the cash-rich IPL while the Company Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid made it clear" we are in the picture."

Tharoor, Minister of State for External Affairs, was forced to resign yesterday over his dealings with the IPL Kochi team. The IPL was in focus in Parliament where the Opposition slammed the event as a "betting and gambling ring" in which black money was involved, called for its ban and demanded that Government take over its affairs.

A Joint Parliamentary Committee probe into IPL’s source of funds was also demanded. Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee said "no guilty or wrong-doer" will be spared in connection with the IPL controversy and that all aspects including the sources and routes of funding of teams will be thoroughly probed.

In Mumbai, a senior IT official said the IT department probing alleged financial irregularities in the IPL will widen its inquiry into the assets and transactions of high-profile IPl Commissioner and his close associates including their financial interests abroad.

Ravi, a senior Congress leader and Overseas Indians Minister, lent weight to the Opposition attack calling the cricket league as "glorified gambling" and wanted the whole system to be looked into by the government. Modi himself rubbished allegations of betting and money laundering in the popular event and threatened to take legal action against a leading business daily which had made the accusations.

With Opposition parties training their guns on the government over the IPL dealings in the wake of the Modi-Tharoor row and the controversy over financial issues relating to IPL teams, Mukherjee told the Lok Sabha, "the concerned department has already started investigation process (into the IPL episode)." Mukherjee assured members that "appropriate action as per law" would be taken if any wrongdoing was found in the manner the IPL was funded.

"The concerned department has already started investigation process (into the IPL episode). All aspects including sources of funding and routes through which the funds arrived would be looked into. Appropriate action as per law would be taken. No guilty or wrong-doer will be spared," Mukherjee said.

The BCCI, sources said, was asked questions relating to owners of IPL teams, their balance sheets, income earned during the various tournaments and the money paid to players.

Kerala's appam and karimeen on American channel

Apr 6, 2010,

Kerala's appam and karimeen on American channel Kerala's culinary specialities have won over master US chef Anthony Bourdain who will showcase food like appam, puttu and karimeen curry on the popular American travel and food show No Reservations on the Travel Channel.

The sixth season of Travel channel's culinary programme hosted by Bourdain will telecast the specialities of Kerala cuisine in July.

Bourdain has already shot the episode in Kerala for No Reservations which is in its sixth season.

"By showcasing authentic Kerala food in the homes of ordinary people, Anthony Bourdain is also reaffirming that delicious food and hospitality is not just special to upscale restaurants and hotels but is something that is customary throughout the state," said Kerala Tourism secretary V. Venu.

"It was wonderful to have such a high profile television host championing street and home cooked food," he said.

"When it comes to spices and variety, Kerala is right up there in my alley," the release said quoting Bourdain, 53, the author of A Cook's Tour-In Search of the Perfect Meal .

For the Kerala episode, the master chef landed in Kochi at the fag end of March and travelled to Alappuzha to savour the backwaters cuisine. He stayed in a houseboat where he tried mussels and kappa (tapioca), a Kerala sadya (feast) and the spicy karimeen or pearl spot fish, the release said.

"I am also very impressed with the high standard of food in Kerala, especially the street food," says the chef, who earlier hit the streets in Kochi to taste the varieties.

Bourdain also enjoyed home cooked puttu (a steamed rice powder preparation), meen curry (fish cooked in coconut milk) and some other vegetarian dishes (made with coconut) with Malayalam celluloid icon Mammootty, when he visited the superstar during the shooting of his forthcoming film ‘Pokkiri Raja’, the release said.

It is amazing to be a soldier, says Mohanlal

Actor Mohanlal appeared to have fully savoured the experience of being in full battle gear inside the barracks of the 122 Infantry Battalion stationed here on the second day of his training on Saturday.

"Now I know the value of being part of the Army. It is an unbelievable feeling to participate in the Army training and it is amazing to be a soldier", said Lt. Col. (Hon.) Mohanalal while interacting with reporters at the battalion station here on Saturday. He said that his three-day training programme allowed him to know closer the 'disciplined and choreographed' activities of the Army. Unlike in a make believe world of cinema where he had to play different roles as a professional actor, to be a soldier was a different kind of experience, he said adding that he would be proud of being the brand ambassador of the Territorial Army (TA).

The actor in uniform, who appeared with battalion Commanding Officer Col. Davidson Kolath and other officers, said that more gainfully employed young people should join the TA units in the country as India was facing threats from inside and outside. He said that he had come to know of the TA while he was in Army camps as part of the shooting of Army-related films. The battalion here being the only citizen's Army unit in the State, it should be supported, he pointed out.

"My training is only a fraction of what soldiers normally undergo", he said adding that one of his tasks as the brand ambassador of the TA was to talk about the TA, especially on his website, and motivate more people to join it.

Col. Kolath said that Lt. Col. (Hon.) Mohanlal's commissioning into the TA unit here had brought the battalion to the limelight. The battalion had already earned recognition in various operational and other activities, he said adding that its reputation was only enhanced by Mohanlal's entry. More people had now come to know of the TA unit, which is one of the 68 TA battalions in the country including 44 infantry battalions and eight ecology battalions. Being a citizens' army, the TA battalions always work in close co-operation with local people, he said. He also said that joining the TA was not easy as there were stringent procedures to be completed.

Over three million women gather for Pongala festival

More than three million women devotees lit earthen kilns to cook rice and jaggery as offering for the presiding deity of Attukal Bhagavathi temple here Sunday on the occasion of Pongala festival.
The ritual started after the chief priest lit a hearth with fire brought from the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. The fire was then passed on to the devotees, who stood in lines, stretching up to main roads of the city.

The devotees carrying bricks, firewood, rice, jaggery and coconut then lit up their stoves with the sacred fire to cook the offering for the Attukal Bhagavathi deity, believed to be an incarnation of Kannaki, the central character of the Tamil epic 'Silappathikaaram'.

Devouts from all over south India begun arriving here a few days back to bag a place near the temple, dedicated to Attukal Bhagavathi.

The offering is made on the penultimate day of the 10-day-long Attukal Pongala festival, which is often referred to as the equivalent of the Sabarimala pilgrimage for women.

The offering is prepared using rice, jaggery and coconut and is cooked in three to four hours' time. When the priests spray sacred water from the temple on the cooked rice, the women pack their offering and begin their return journey.

Gopinathan Nair, president of the temple trust said that all arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the festival.

'More than 3,000 police personnel, including 500 women, have been deployed and it is going on smoothly,' said Nair.

Veteran singer K.J. Yesudas and a few political leaders were also present on the occasion. Leading south Indian actors, including the regulars like Chippy, Kalpana and Praveena were seen busy preparing the offering.

The Guinness Book of Records listed the festival as the world's largest annual gathering of women in 1997, when 1.5 million devotees converged here Feb 23.

According to legend, Kannaki destroyed the city of Madurai in Tamil Nadu after the king of Madurai wrongfully imposed death penalty on her husband. Kannaki then travelled to Kerala, where she rested for a while at Attukal and women are said to have cooked pongala to appease her.

Mammootty extends olive branch to Thilakan -Feb 27

Alappuzha (Kerala), Feb 27 : Malayalam superstar Mammootty Saturday tried to make peace with Thilakan by saying he never called for a ban on the veteran actor in the industry and is willing to work with him.

"I have nothing against Thilakan and will certainly act with him. The issue with Thilakan will be resolved by AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movies Artistes) soon. We never called for a ban of Thilakan. We will make no public statements in this regard and we are not interested in a media trial either," Mammootty said.

Thilakan is in dispute with various film workers' organisations, including the AMMA, for his utterances against some superstars and select directors.

He replied to a show-cause notice from the AMMA, saying he has done no wrong and the question of an apology does not arise.

The dispute led to a public slugfest with both sides taking a dig at each other.

Noted critic Sukumar Azhikode slammed superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal and asked them to stop acting and endorsing jewellery brands.

Azhikode said the two superstars should call it a day and remarked that if both of them come without make up, many people will faint.

To this AMMA president and comic actor Innocent retorted that if Azhikode is to endorse jewellery brands then people who buy it will return them.

Mammootty, trying to bring peace between two sides said since Thilakan expressed his inability to appear before AMMA March 1, then the movie association will give a new date set according to the actor's convenience.

"Thilakan is an elder statesman of our fraternity and instead of keeping away from AMMA, he should be the guiding force to all of us," said Mammootty.

Reacting to Mammootty's statement, Thilakan said: "Honestly I have nothing against Mammootty and Mohanlal and I do respect their talents. I will talk to Mammootty if he calls me."(IANS)

Mohanlal-Azhikode spat takes listless Mollywood to new low

24 Feb 2010, ET Bureau

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Malayalam movie industry, which has served more controversy than profits in recent times, has plunged to a new low with a squabble in which the choice of words are more appalling than some that are spoken on screen.

At the heart of the latest controversy is an allegation by veteran actor Thilakan that some big names in the industry are conspiring to deny him opportunities. But the issue has changed course - in true filmy style - and turned into a personal squabble between leading star Mohanlal and octogenarian writer and social critic Sukumar Azhikode.

Azhikode has been hinting that it is high time that the leading stars of Malayalam stepped aside in deference to their age and girth, and the comment has brought the writer into an open confrontation with Mohanlal, with the Thilakan issue acting as the trigger-point.

Admittedly, Malayalam movie actors are on the bulkier side in comparison to their peers in other language movies, and six packs are as rare as chicken’s teeth in Mollywood, even among the younger crop of actors. That, however, hasn’t dulled their appeal among their fans at home and the non-resident Malayali diaspora across the world.

Picking on Azhikode’s claim that he had got Mohanlal to sit across the table with Thilakan and sort matters out, Mohanlal said he had said no such thing, and that Azhikode must be having some “hallucination”. Not content with that, the thespian said he considered Azhikode’s statements as some “aged uncle’s joke”, and that whether he should stop acting was not a matter for Azhikode to decide.

Piqued by Mohanlal’s tart comments, Azhikode reminded the actor that he was himself ageing, that if some of his nubile heroines saw him without makeup, “they will faint”, and that he should take a leaf out of the books of Tamil stars like Rajnikant and Kamal Hassan and go around without makeup.

That observation was met with matching acidity by one of Azhikode’s own ilk, writer T Padmanabhan, who said Azhikode appeared to be envious of handsome people, and that he had no business to suggest that the veteran actors should call it a day.

Perhaps the only point that could go in favour of Azhikode is the fact that movies featuring the two lead actors in Mollywood, Mohanlal and Mammootty, have not been the ones that have earned profits for their producers. Industry sources say that the five films that are known to have made money in the recent past, To Harihar Nagar, Makante Achan, Neelathamara, Bhagyadevatha and Passenger, did not feature either of the mega stars. Neither does Mollywood appear likely to benefit from the latest spat that involves a superstar and a super scribe.

Mohanlal denies agreeing to Azhikode mediation

Kerala film row worsens as Azhikode enters fray

Thiruvananthapuram: There is a new twist to the controversy in the Malayalam film industry involving actor Thilakan, with writer and social activist Sukumar Azhikode joining the debate.

Thilakan is currently facing the heat from various film workers' organisations, including the Association of Malayalam Movies Artistes (Amma) over his remarks against some A-listers and directors.

Azhikode said he had got a promise from leading star Mohanlal that the actor would sit across the table with Thilakan and sort out the differences.

However, confusion followed when Mohanlal told a Malayalam television channel that he had given no such promise, and that he considered Azhikode's pronouncements as "some joke by an aged uncle".

Mohanlal went on to describe the writer's statements as some "hallucination" and that what the senior writer was saying was "pure nonsense".

Mohanlal also denied speaking to Azhikode from Dubai. He reminded Azhikode that the issues were between Thilakan and the associations and wondered how he and Thilakan could meet and sort them out.

Meanwhile, Thilakan stated that he would only agree to such talks "on certain conditions". He, however, would not spell out what those conditions were.
