North Police Station CI asked to make the ‘S’ shaped knife.
It was done on the same day when IG Vincent Paul had briefed the media about the details of the weapons used in the murder
The Asianet News team launched a sting operation after it came across certain loopholes in the statements issued by the police and by Satheesh’s family. Shocking revelations followed.
The investigations led our team to a blacksmith on the outskirts of the Alappuzha. The team introduced themselves as policemen from the North Police station
The said blacksmith revealed that the ‘S’ shaped knife, which the police claimed that it had recovered from Satheesh’s house, was made by him at the behest of the policemen themselves. Ironically, it was done on the same day when IG Vincent Paul had briefed the media about the details of the weapons used in the murder
The blacksmith revealed that the Alappuzha North Police station Circle Inspector, KA Thomas - who is part of the police investigation team - had gone to his home and asked him to make two knives - one S-shaped and another, smaller one. He wanted the S-shaped knife immediately. He also drew a picture of the same for the blacksmith to refer to. The small knife was supposed to be made with the following dimensions - 10 cm length and 3 cm width. He also gave the blacksmith five hundred rupees for this. However, the blacksmith later informed CI Thomas about the second knife he had made, but no policeman ever turned up to take it.
