DYFI leader admits lapse
Kasargode: DYFI state treasurer V.V. Rameshan who was in the receiving end both within and outside the party has admitted that he let go his politics by securing a NRI seat for his daughter in the Pariyaram Medical College.
Rameshan said only Rs 5 lakh has been remitted so far as fee for the seat and the payment was made by his wife's brother Anilkumar.
Denying allegations that he has amassed wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income Rameshan said they are baseless and border on cruelty. His only fault was allowing judgement to be clouded by his concerns as a parent. The NRI seat he secured for his daughter will be given up, he said.
