Thiruvananthapuram: The UDF leaders on Thursday met the Chief Minister V S Achuthanandhan to discuss the undue delay in getting the approval from the prosecution in the Lavlin issue.
Opposition leader Oomen Chandy was accompanied by UDF convenor P P Thankachan, T M Jacob, Shibu Baby John, C F Thomas, E T Mohammed Basheer and other prominent leaders of various political parties.
The government had said that it would need three week's time to seek the prosecution approval. But a month has passed and still nothing has happenned. So, Chandy decided to meet the chief minister on this issue.
Chandy said that the chief minister had assured him that an immediate action would be taken at the earliest.
